Reykjavik II was originally written for a film showing of Leo Hansens footage of Iceland, held by the Fjalakötturinn film club. It was revived as part of a residency in Hólmavík in the pitch black winter of 2011. Here is the original raw project, recorded in 2006. This footage was shot in the early 20th century, and shows the people of Iceland. It was primarily a tourist video. It’s interesting to see the Icelandic people in a different era, but with the genetic traits that are so familiar.
